Set-up an Instagram account.

Instagram is used by people all around the world. It's used to share pictures and videos from the moment you wake up to the time you go to sleep, which means there is always something new to see.  It's evolved past being a quick way to share a picture or a few words, it's a platform where you can share moments and memories with others, making it a great place to open up your first account. Step One.

Begin by downloading the Instagram app to your mobile phone and set it up. Alternatively, you can sign-up on a desktop computer or laptop as the video shows. Once you're on Instagram, you'll see an option for "Get Started". Click on this option and you'll be taken to the sign-up page. You’ll be asked to enter information such as your name, email address, phone number and age of birth. 

 

Step Two.

Once you created an Instagram account, start with customizing your account. In order to be successful on Instagram, a person has to have a captivating profile picture, a great bio, and a website that catches the eye of their followers. This will allow you to be more successful in gaining more followers.

Before making your first post on Instagram, you want to consider some pre-planning stages: 

Target Audience  –  Most people are on Instagram to stay connected with friends, family, and celebrities. It has become a way for people to share their lives, their photos, and to connect with other people. It's important to identify your target audience before getting on the platform to make sure your content is relevant for them. It's additionally important to be consistent in posting and to have a clear vision of what image you are trying to portray. 

Tone  –  Whether you're posting about your company's new products or about your personal life, the voice and tone of your Instagram account is a reflection of how you want the people who follow you to perceive you. 

Content  –  The purpose of an Instagram account can vary, but it can be used for personal purposes, such as simply documenting your life and activities, or for business purposes, such as advertising products and services. Define the purpose of your account, and what type of content should be expected. 

 

Step Four.

On a final note, consistency is extremely important. This entails the look of your posts, the tone of your brand’s voice and the posting frequency on Instagram. Your Instagram feed should be brand-consistent and visually appealing. You want your photos to be interesting and to match their tone, whether it's the tone of your brand’s voice or your personal voice.
